100% Homegrown, American-Made CheeseI start this blog by thinking that this is a very, very exciting time for D4 with the launch of our new website, but it goes much deeper than that. The thought and effort that went into the website and the people behind the scenes are what make d4discovery.com what it is today. I think this is pertinent because of the industry we work in and the constant evolution of the “ediscovery” space – consolidation, downsizing, vendor perceptions, etc. I am very proud of our website for one very important reason - it is real. I mean Real. 100% homegrown, American-made D4.

The new logo and tagline embody what we are about and why we are different – our People. The website focuses heavily on people because they make us tick. They have made us successful over the years. They are Real. The offices, the extras, the pictures, the people – it is all Real.

At D4, we are experiencing amazing growth and have been for the last few years and I have the people at D4 to thank. Yes, it is about technology – and we have plenty of that – but it is about how we apply that and what we do with it based on our current client needs. No two cases are alike, and so no two solutions can – or should – be the same. The customization and the creativity and the amazing customer service are hard to create, and even harder to duplicate. But we are doing it.

D4 is all about challenging the status quo, and finding the right balance of technology and people for each and every client. We are uniquely positioned to service small engagements to very large, managed relationships. We have one of the broadest and deepest offerings of technology in the marketplace. It is fun to finally show that off. While the site operates on a “less is more” principle, it provides a detailed picture of what D4 can do for our clients in a simple, elegant manner.

We are a professional service organization powered by people. And that’s something that is unique to us. We’ve been building that for years, and the company culture we’ve established and continue to foster is drawing people to us, giving us the ability to provide even higher levels of service.

I think what clients love most about D4 is that we are passionate about not only what we do, but how we do it. We do it the right way, not just to get it done. We also have a lot of fun and pride ourselves on being a family. And we do that every day, day in and day out. I think that comes through no matter what we are doing.

D4 helps our clients solve serious litigation support problems. In order to do that, we can’t – and don’t – rely on technological solutions alone. We have to apply our experience, our thinking, and our creativity to understand the needs of a client in order to help them meet their goals.

There are a lot of people who say that litigation support services are commoditized. At D4 we don’t see it that way. What we see is that every client deserves a customized solution.

One of our employees recently told me, “The true benefit to a D4 client is when the end result is greater than the sum of the parts. There are lots of different tools. There are lots of different techniques, and it takes a mind to be able to figure out what tool in the right workflow in the right step in the right sequence creates the best result.”

D4 is about being able to maximize the benefit for our customers. It is truly about the team. Together, we perform and succeed at a higher level than what is possible as individuals. Combine that with enjoying what you do, and you get to the spirit of D4. That’s who we are. That’s what we do. Every day. D4 is truly powered by people.
